AT CITY HALL
The City Council met in special meeting with Mayor Freund presiding.
Aldermen presents Antonson, Bolger, Brown, Holy, Pitsen, Thennes.
41110 The question of installation of warning signals at Main Street railroad
crossing was discussed and the clerk instructed to communicate with the Chicago
and Northwestern Railway Company regarding the question.
baseball The question of building new fence making improvements at the city
park was referred to Alderman Bolger
er for report at next meeting.
The clerk was instructed to write to C; H. Duker, Superintendent of
Schools, requesting meetings with school boards to correct parking conditions
adjacent to public sbhools.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Brown, instructing the clerk to arrange
a meeting between city officials, City Engineer, Donald F. Brochrogge of the
State Highway Department, and representative of the Chicago and Northwestern
Railroad Company regarding solution to storm sewer problem at location of
Althoff Dri-Gas plant. Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Thennes, to instruct the City Attorney
to prepare ordinance or amendment prohibiting trucks from parking and making
deliveries later than 11 A.M. Motion carried.
The question of leasing river front property at Sewage Plant was referred
to the City Attorney for further study.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Brown, to adjourn. Motion carried.
