Aldermen present: Antonson, Bolger, Brown, Holly, Pitzen, Thennes. Absent: None. Motion by Brown, seconded by Bolger, to open bids received pertaining traffic signal installations designated under MFT Sec. No. 6TL•C.S. Motion carried. Bids were referred to City Engineer and State of Illinois Highway Department representative for check on unit prices and the following total bids noted: Johnny Humphreys Electric Company $7801.18 Dixon, Illinois B & F Hi Line Construction Corporation $8537.49 1023 Ninth Street, Rockford, Illinois Aldridge Electric Company $8549.62 Lake Forest, Illinois Carey Electric Company $8865.14 McHenry, Illinois Virgil Cook & Son $9701.55 620 Lincoln Highway, DeKalb, Illinois Motion by Brown, seconded by Thennes, to accept the law bid submitted by Humphrey's Electric Company in the amount of $7801.18, subject to approval by State of Illinois, Department of Public Works and Buildings. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Brown, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held May 20, 1957 and the special meeting held May 24, 1957. Motion carried. Motion by Brown,' seconded by Holly, to approve the treasurer's report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Thennes, seconded by Antonson, to approve the collector's report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Antonson, seconded by Pitzen, to approve the clerk's report as read. Motion carried.
