JUNE 3, 1957
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Antonson, Bolger, Brown, Holly, Pitzen, Thennes.
Absent: None.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Bolger, to open bids received pertaining
traffic signal installations designated under MFT Sec. No. 6TL•C.S. Motion carried.
Bids were referred to City Engineer and State of Illinois Highway Department
representative for check on unit prices and the following total bids noted:

Motion by Brown, seconded by Thennes, to accept the law bid submitted by
Humphrey's Electric Company in the amount of $7801.18, subject to approval by
State of Illinois, Department of Public Works and Buildings. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Brown, to approve the minutes of the regular
meeting held May 20, 1957 and the special meeting held May 24, 1957. Motion carried.
Motion by Brown,' seconded by Holly, to approve the treasurer's report as
read. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Antonson, to approve the collector's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Pitzen, to approve the clerk's report as
read. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Holly, to pay the following bills as approved
by the finance committee:

Motion by Thennes, seconded by Antonson, to pass and approve ordinance
regulating truck parking and delivery of merchandise in business districts. Motion
111 carried.
• Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Brown, to install new fence at city ball park
at a cost of $425.00 each side of base lines as proposed by Lyle Anderson. Motion
carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Antonson, to adjourn. Motion carried.
