JULY 1, 1957
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Brown, Holly, Pitzen, Thennes. Absent:
None.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Holly, to approve the minutes of the last
1110 meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Pitzen, to approve the treasurer's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Holly, seconded by Bolger, to approve the collector's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Holy, to approve the clerk's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Bolger, to pay the following bills as approved
by the finance committee:

Motion by Thennes, seconded by Pitzen, to advertise for bids as per specifications
prepared and submitted by the city engineer for construction of storm sewer in Main Street
near Chicago and Northwestern Railway, bids to be received Monday, July 22, 1957 at 8 P.M.
Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Holly, to approve Change Order No. 12 increasing
capacity of sludge well at the Sewage Disposal Plant. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Pitzen, to approve requests for withdrawal of funds

from the Waterworks and Sewage System Bond Construction Account in the amounts of $59,276.80
due Tonyan Construction Company and $1,617.00 due W. A. Rakow and Associates. Motion carried,
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Pitzen, to pay the McHenry Band account the amount
of $100.00 Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Thennes, tp purchase liability insurance through the
Kent Corporation as per proposal submitted. Motion carried.
