SEPTEMBER 3, 1957
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor
Freund presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Holly, Pitzen, Thennes.
Ilk Absent: Brown.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Holly, to approve the minutes of the
last meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Holly, to approve the treasurer' s
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Holly, to approve the collector' s
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Holly, seconded by Bolger, to approve the clerk' s report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Holly, seconded by Pitzen, to pay the following bills as
approved by the finance committee: Motion carried. •

Motion by Thennes, seconded by Pitzen, to open bids, as per
publication, for surfacing skating pond and playground area along
West Avenue. Motion carried.
The following bid was received and unit prices checked by City
Engineer, W. A. Rakow:
Suburban Oil Company - - - $6,665.75
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Holly,to approve the bid submitted
by Suburban Oil Company in the amount of $6.665.75. Motion carried.
111 Motion by Thennes, seconded by Bolger, to pass and approve the
annual tax levy ordinance in the amount of $66,420.00 as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Holly, to adjourn. Motion carried.
