Aldermen present: Bolger, Brown, Holly, Newkirk, Pitzen, Thennes. Absent: None. Motion by Brown, seconded by Holly, to approve the minutes of the last 110- meeting as read. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Brown, to open bids received for installa- tion of traffic signal lights at corner of Riverside Drive and Elm Streets. Motion carried. The following bids were received and checked by the City Engineer: H. H. Construction Co. $3,995.20 Virgil Cook $3,585.55 Humphries Electric Co. $3,148.03 Aldridge Electric Co. $3,459.65 Motion by Pitzen,seconded by Brown, to accept the low bid in the amount of $3,148.03 submitted by Humphries Electric Company, subject to approval of the Illinois State Highway Department, and return bid checks to the two highest bidders. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Holly, to approve the treasurer's report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Thennes, seconded by Bolger, to approve the collector's report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Brown, seconded by Thennes, to approve the clerk's report as read. Motion carried. Motion carried. Motion by Thennes, seconded by Holly, to approve application of the Woodstock Children's Home to conduct a Tag Day in McHenry, but to advise the applicant to choose a date other than Saturday, March 29, as requested, due to a conflict. Motion carried. 110 Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Brown, to pay Lakeland Construction Company $5000.00 due on Edgebrook heights sewer lift construction as per #1486 Engineer's Estimate and approval.
