JULY 21, 1958
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Brown, Holly, Pitzen, Thennes. Absent:
Newkirk.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Brown, to approve the minutes of the last
110 meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Holly, to pass and approve an ordinance to
annex the following described property within the corporate limits of the City of
McHenry as per petition signed by J. Albert Roesch, Ruth W. Roesch, Paul E. Fidler
and Nellie M. Fidler: Riverstream Subdivision to the City of McHenry, Illinois,
being a subdivision of part of Lots 2 and 3 of the County Clerk's Plat of part of
Section 35 and part of Section 36 all in Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the
Third Principal Meridian in McHenry Township, McHenry County, Illinois. Motion
carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Holly, to pass and approve an ordinance
amendment providing for operation of parking meters between the hours of 6 P.M.
and 9 P.M. on Friday nights. Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Bolger, to pay Preston Woodall Company the
sum of $5676.53 on Millstream Park area sewer contract and the sum of $23.2 to
W. A. Rakow & Associates covering balance due for engineering services. Motion
carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Holly, to approve final payment of $822.48 v'
less $100.00 to Preston Woodall Company, as per agreement on road repairs, as final
payment on Grove and Wood Street sewer contract; and to pay W. A. Rakow & Associates
the sum of $82.25�covering balance due for engineering services. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Bolger, to hold a special meeting of the
Council in the City Hall, Monday, July 28, 1958 at 8 P.M. for the prupose of
reviewing annual audit report, preparing annual appropriation ordinance and budget
for the current fiscal year. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Brown, to adjourn. Motion carried.
