OCTOBER 16, 1967
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor
Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Smith,
Wegener. Absent: Etten, Hromec, Rogers.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Jackson, to approve the minutes of
regular meeting held October 2nd and special meeting held October 9th, as read.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Naye": None.
Absent: Etten, Hromec, Rogers.
Motion carried.
Alderman Rogers was present at this point in the meeting.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Huck, to direct the City Attorney to
draw an agreement with Ladd Enterprises, Inc. concerning development of the
Public Park area in the Whispering Oaks Subdivision, designating a $4,000.00
per year expenditure on the part of the City over a five year period.
Voting Aye": Bolger, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith,
Wegener.
Voting "Naye: None.
Absent: Etten, Hromec.
Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Bolger, to approve the Mayor's appointment
of Henry Hasman as a desk man in the Police Depa rtment.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith,
Wegener.
Voting "Naye": None.
Absent: Etten, Hromec.
Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Rogers, to grant the request of the
McHenry Chamber of Commerce to attach Christmas trees to parking meters, the
`-- starting date to be December 1st.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith,
Wegener.
Voting "Naye": None.
Absent: Etten, Hromec.
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Smith, to contribute $750.00 to the
McHenry Chamber of Commerce Christmas Lighting and Decorating Fund, stipulating
that aZZ business areas in the City be considered. (Ck. #5083)

Motion by Huck, seconded by Bolger, to open bids on 1968 Police Car.

Wegener.

Absent: Etten, Hromec.

The following bids were received for furnishing 1968 Police Car with
trade-in of 1966 Ford Police Car as per specifications:
Collingbourne Buick-Olds., Inc. - Oldsmobile - $2,192. 70
Sunnyside Dodge Company - Dodge - 1,368.27
Buss Ford Sales - Ford - 1, 785.00
Sunnyside Dodge Company - Dodge Polara - 1,505. 66
Motion by Smith, seconded by Wegener, to purchase Dodge Polara as per
bid of $1,505. 66.

Inc., $4,581.00 on Traffic Signal Light Contract as per engineer's estimate. (Ck. #266)
