AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF
CAPITAL DRIVE TO METALMASTER COURT
IN THE CITY OF MCHENRY
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the City of McHenry approved a final
plat of subdivision for Inland Business Park, Unit 2, which plat is recorded with the
McHenry County Recorder of Deeds as Document Number 2001 R0020480; and
WHEREAS, the east -west cul-de-sac on said plat was dedicated as right-of-way
for the purpose of constructing a public street named Capital Drive; and
WHEREAS, Metalmaster Roofmaster, a family -owned business currently
operating in the McHenry Corporate Center has purchased eight (8) acres of property
along Capital Drive to construct their new corporate headquarters; and
WHEREAS, a request was received from Gloria Smeja, President of Metalmaster
Roofmaster, to change the name of Capital Drive to Metalmaster Drive, in honor of their
company founder; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the proposed street name change
and has no objections to change the name of Capital Drive to Metalmaster Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That Capital Drive in the Inland Business Park Phase 2 shall
hereinafter be renamed to Metalmaster Drive.
SECTION 2: All ordinances of parts thereof in conflict with the terms and
provisions hereof are hereby repeales to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and under
the authority of the Corporate Authorities of the City of McHenry, McHenry County,
Illinois.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
SECTION 5: A certified copy of this ordinance shall be recorded with the
McHenry County Recorder of Deeds office.
