JUNE 1, 1964
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting
with Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway,
Etten, Huck, Pitzen, Smith. Absent: None.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Smith, to approve the minutes
of regular meeting held May 19, 1964. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Huck, to approve the treasurer's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Etten, to approve the clerk's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Huck, to pay the following bills
as approved by the finance committee: Motion carried.

Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to release $7000.00 held in
escrow account established Sept. 19, 1963 in the McHenry State Bank for
rehabilitation of streets in Cooney Heights,to Lakeland Construction Co, Inc.
upon receipt of proper certification of the City Engineers, W. A. Rakow and
Associates, to the effect that all rehabilitation work on the streets
concerned has been completed to the satisfaction of the Engineers and in
accordance with the terms and specifications attached and made a part of
the Escrow Agreement. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Smith, to pass and approve ordinance
amending the Zoning Ordinance, granting permit to Freund Trustees to erect
temporary directional sign at corner of Maple Avenue and Richmond Road, as per
recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals. thotion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Etten, to notify the Oak Park Federal
Savings and Loan Association to cut weeds and grass at 914 Center Street
in accordance with ordinance regulations. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Bolger, to pay the National Boulevard
Bank of Chicago described Bonds and Interest due July 1, 1964:
