HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 02/15/1965 - City Council REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 15, 1965 The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Huck, Pitzen, Smith. Absent: Etten. Motion by Huck, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes of regular meeting held February 1st. Motion carried. The monthly police report was presented by Sgt. Clark. John J. Kaspar, representing Jewel Tea Co., Inc., presented tentative plans for an addition to existing building on Elm Street. The question of additional exits was continued for further study. John and Don Johnson of Main Paint Center, submitted plans for enlargement of their building and were advised to wait until proposed clarifications of the Zoning Ordinance are reviewed at hearing March 5, 1965. City Attorney John E. Looze reported that hearing pertaining pedestrian crossing from Cooney Heights area across C. & N.W. Ry. right of way before the Illinois Commerce Commission scheduled for February 16th had been postponed to March 23rd at 10 A.M. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Smith, to pass and approve Election Ordinance pertaining General Election to be held April 20, 1965. Motion carried. Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn.
