APRIL 19, 1965
The'City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Etten,
Huck, Pitzen, Smith. Absent: None.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Conway, to approve the minutes
of regular meeting held April 5th. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Bolger, to continue the program
of spraying trees for the prevention of Dutch Elm disease. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Smith, to approve the contract
submitted by W. A. Rakow and Associates to act as consulting engineers
under Motor Fuel Tax Projects. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by- Bolger, to hold a Special Meeting
of the City- Council April 26, 1965, immediately following the adjournment
of the annual meeting, the purpose of the meeting to be to act on alcoholic
beverage license applications and other business. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Huck, to hold a Special Meeting
Wednesday, April 21, 1965 at 8 P.M. for the purpose of canvassing returns
of the City Olection of April 20th, 1965. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Smith, to establish the following
salaries, effective May 1, 1965, subject to appointments and approval of
appointments:
Richard J. Lemker $525 per mo. W. Aeverman $475 per mo.
Richard W. Clark $175 " J. Miller $1475 "
Kenneth Espey $460 " H. Dowell $475 "
C. Hummel $440 " J. Wiser $475 "
R. Kranz $440 " D. Meyer,Sr. $490 "
J. Weichmann $140 " J. Diedrich $500 " plus
W. Hagberg $255 $60 for truck
E. Tussey $255 " Life guard $60 per week
C. Bolster $255 " Mayme Buss $20 per week
J. McEnery $215 "
City Attorney $800 per year
Supt.of Public Works $9000 per year
Board of Health: Chairman; $50 per year
two aembers; $25 each per year
Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn. Motion carried.
