At the call of Mayor Doherty and proper notification of all aldermen, the City Council held a Special Meeting Monday, May 10, 1965 for the purpose of hearing petition for annexation of territory known as Boone Valley. Mayor Doherty presided at the meeting and upon roll call the following aldermen were present: Bolger,J Etten, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Smith, Wegener. Absent: Conway. The petition presented was titled "In The Matter Of The Application Of The State Bank Of Woodstock As Trustee Under The Provisions Of A Trust Agreement Dated June 1, 1963 And Known As Trust Number 1396 For Annexation Of Territory To The City of McHenry, Illinois". Following the petition, an ordinance annexing certain territory to the City of McHenry, Illinois (describing the territory as also described in the petition) was read. Alderman Pitzen, seconded by Alderman Bolger, moved that the annexation ordinance be adopted. Voting Aye: Bolger, Etten, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Smith, Wegener.
