Aldermen present: Conway, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Smith, Wegener. Absent: Bolger, Etten. Motion by- Huck, seconded by Conway, to approve the minutes of regular meeting held July 19th. Motion carried. Motion by Conway, seconded by Smith, to approve the treasurer's report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Huck, seconded by Jackson, to approve the clerk's report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Huck, seconded by Jackson, to approve the application of Mrs. L. C. Fuhrer in behalf of the National Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation to canvass in the residential area of McHenry from August 23 to September 10,1965. Motion carried. Motion by Jackson, seconded by Pitzen, to adopt resolution attached to these minutes and a copy to be presented to Stanley Vycital. ?,lotion carried. Motion by Smith, seconded by Wegener, to pass and approve the Annual Tax Levy Ordinance in the amount of 3102,850.00. Motion carried. Regular Meeting - August 2, 1965 #3 Motion by- Conway, seconded by Huck, to pass and approve resolution on MFT road improvement, Waukegan Road east from Green Street. Motion carried. DOHERTY, MAYOR Or RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Stanley Vycital has served with distinction as director of the McHenry Band in recent years, and WHEREAS, his interest and activity in providing musical entertainment to the people of the McHenry area was evidenced for many years before his appointment as Director, and WHEREAS, his untiring efforts have resulted in assembling high class musicians to form a band which has drawn the admiration of large numbers throughout Northern Illinois, and WHEREAS, his business activities cover a wide area which will make it impossible for him to continue his services to the tom= McHenry Band, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of McHenry go on record as recognizing, with sincere appreciation, the outstanding services rendered to the City of McHenry. The above resolution was unanimously adopted by the City Council of the City of McHenry at a regular meeting August 2, 1965, to be spread upon the minutes of the meeting and a copy to be presented to Stanley Vycital.
