MARCH 4, 1963
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Etten, Huck,
Pitzen, Smith. Absent: Conway.
Motion by Etten, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes
of regular meeting held February 18th, as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to approve the treasurer's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Etten, to approve the clerk' s
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Etten, to pay the following
bills as approved by the finance committee. Motion carried.

Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to adopt resolution authorizing
investment of S50,000 from the Water and Sewer Fund in U. S. Government
Securities, or McHenry State Bank Certificate. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Smith, to hold Open House in the City
Hall, Library and Waterworks Plant on Sunday, April 7th, from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M.
Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn. Motion carried.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Water and Sewer Fund deposits in the McHenry
State Bank are in excess of amounts immediately necessary for
operation of the Waterworks and Sewer system in the City of
McHenry, and
WHEREAS, funds deposited in checking accounts draw
no interest, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be to the best interests of
the City to invest a part of said fund in interest bearing securities,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor, City Clerk
and City Treasurer be authorized to effect the purchase of $50,000.00
in U. S. Government Securities, or McHenry State Bank Certificate.
Alderman Pitzen, seconded by Alderman Bolger, presented
the above Resolution and moved its adoption. Upon roll call the
following aldermen voted "Yes": Bolger, Conway, Etten, Huck,
Pitzen, Smith. Voting "No": None. Absent: None.
