MARCH 18, 1963
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Etten,
Huck, Pitzen, Smith. Absent: None.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes
of regular meeting held March lath and special meeting held March llth
as read. Motion carried.
The engineering firm of Baxter and Woodman presented detailed
report of their study of the operation of the Sewage Disposal Plant,
including recommendations for improvements in the operation of the plant.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Bolger, to grant permission to
the Easter Seal Society for Crippled Children and Adults to hold a Tag
Day in McHenry on Saturday, April 6, 1963 as per request. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to include curbing and
sidewalks in Joint City-State Improvement under MFT 13CS (Elm Street
and Front Street) and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign letter
advising the Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, of
council action. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Etten, to hire Anderson Tree
Service to spray trees on city property for the prevention of Dutch
Elm disease. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn. Motion carried.
