APRIL 1, 1963
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting
with Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway,
Etten, Huck, Pitzen, Smith. Absent: None.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Etten, to approve the minutes
of regular meeting held March 18th as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Huck, to approve the treasurer's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Etten, seconded by Conway, to approve the clerk's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Smith, to approve the payment
of the following bills as approved by finance committee:

Motion by Conway, seconded by Pitzen, to approve preliminary
plans submitted by School District No. 15 for widening of Waukegan Street
at Landmark School location and plans for providing off street parking
adjacent to the City Hall parking area. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to authorize transfer of
$375.00 from the Off Street Parking Savings Account in the McHenry State
Bank to the general fund. Motion carried.
Motion by Etten, seconded by Smith, to pay the American
National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago the following, due May 1, 1963:
41% Water and Sewer Revenue Bonds:
Interest - $900.00
Principal- 5,000.00 Ck. #2963
Serv.Fee - 10.00
$5,910.00
4% Water and Sewer Revenue Bonds:

Motion by Huck, seconded by Bolger, to approve payment to
McHenry Library in the amount of $3500.00. Motion carried. Ck. #1735
Motion by Smith, seconded by Conway, to approve the appointment
of the following named Judges of Election to act at the City Election to be
held April 16, 1963:
Ward No. 1 - Margaret Smith, Alida Wirtz, Della Freund,
Margaret Simon, Anton F. Blake.
Ward No. 2 - Vera B. Kane, Alma Anderson, Elsie M. Smith,
Marion Schoenholtz, Marian Carlson.
Ward No. 3 - Martha B. Freund, Beatrice Justen, Elizabeth
Gende, Mary Freund, Genevieve Heyward.
Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Conway, to send Elmer Jensen to the
Annual Conference for Sewage Works Operators at Springfield, April 25th
and 26th. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Smith, to pay Clara V. Stoffel and
Helena M. Stoffel the sum of $82.3Dfor city share of sidewalk. Motion
carried.
Motion by Pit zen, seconded by Bolger, to authorize repairs on P.H.
meter at the sewage disposal plant. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn. Motion carried.
