Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Etten, Huck, Pitzen, Smith. Absent: None. Motion by Etten, seconded by Pitzen, to approve the minutes as read of annual meeting and special meeting held April 25th, 1963. Motion carried. Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to approve the treasurer's report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Conway, seconded by Huck, to approve the clerk's report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Huck, to approve Road Improvement plans as listed: John Street from Clark's to Crescent and Crescent to River Road Millstream Drive Maple Avenue Third Street from Waukegan Street to James Street Borden Street from Main to Waukegan Street Borden Street from Waukegan Street to Tonyan's John Street from Front to Dri-Gas City Hall Parking Lot West Side Parking Lot Waukegan Road from Green Street to Sewer Plant North Drive Court Street from Elm to Pearl Motion carried. Mayor Doherty apppointed Aldermen Conway (Chairman), Bolger and Huck as an advisory committee for a 90 day period to study Civil Defense and Police operations in the city. Motion by Huck, seconded by Etten, to approve the appointment of the following named to McHenry Library Board as made by the Mayor: William J. Bolger, (Chairman), George P. Freund, Earl R. Walsh, Mrs. C. W. Goodell, Mrs. Clarence Anglese, Mrs. R.L. Weber, Mrs. A. J. Wirtz, Fred Bienapfl, Frank Johnson. Motion carried. Motion by Smith, seconded by Conway, to pay Thomas F. Bolger $437.05 collection fee due under Golf View Avenue District Sewer Extension Special Assessment. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Smith, to transfer $500.00 from the General Fund to a Special Payroll Account. Motion carried. Ck. #19L8 Motion by Conway, seconded by Bolger, to approve the application of the American Legion Post #191 to sponsor Carnival and fireworks display on the Legion grounds July 3 through July 7, 1963. Motion carried. Motion by Etten, seconded by Huck, to pass resolution to the State of Illinois Department of Public Works and Buildings requesting permit to install 12 inch sanitary sewer crossing under Illinois Route 31. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Pitzen, to approve the application of the McHenry Pony League to hold a Tag Day in the city June 22, 1963. Motion carried.
