HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 10/21/1963 - City Council REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 21, 1963 The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Etten, Huck, Pitzen, Smith. Absent: None. Motion by Etten, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes of regular meeting held October 7th. Motion carried. Motion by Etten, seconded by Smith, to institute proceedings for Zoning hearing for clarification of section covering other uses in "B-1" districts. Motion carried. Motion by Conway, seconded by Smith, to purchase 2-way radio to be installed in city automobile used by the Superintendent of Public Works. Motion carried. Police department proposal for operation of two squad cars in the city was referred to a special committee, Aldermen Conway, Huck, and Bolger for study. It was moved by Alderman Bolger, seconded by Alderman Conway, and unanimously approved, that John E. Looze, City Attorney, be authorized to employ counsel in behalf of the City of McHenry in behalf of Officer Edward J. Tussey in the suit filed by Frank Bruno.
