DECEMBER 2, 1963
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Etten,
Huck, Pitzen, Smith. Absent: None.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes
of last regular meeting held November 18th. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to approve the treasurer's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Etten, to approve the clerk's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Bolger, to open bids pertaining
new police car. Motion carried.
The following bids were received:
Buss Ford Sales: 1964 Ford Police Guardian, 8 cyl. - $2350.00
Clark Chevrolet Sales: Model 469 Chev. II, 6 cyl. - $2148.09
Model 235 Chev. Station Wagon, 6 cyl,- $2145.82
Biscayne Chevrolet, 6 cyl. - $2224.83
Fury Motors: 1964 Valiant, 6 cyl. - $1865.35 basic bid, with
total of $2123.45 if recommended optional items added.
1964 Plymouth Savoy, 6 cyl. - $2001.10 basic bid
with total of $2360.80 if all optional items added.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Pitzen, to purchase Ford car as per bid
of $2350.00 submitted by Buss Ford Sales. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Smith, to pay the following bills as
approved by the finance committee: Motion carried.
