Motion by Smith, seconded by Rogers, to pass an ordinance, as read, repealing Service Occupation Tax Ordi- nance passed on the20th day of May, 1968 and adopting new ordinance, effective date to be October 1, 1969 . Motion by Stanek, seconded by Bolger, to pass an ordinance, as read, repealing Municipal Retailers ' Occupation Tax ordinance passed August 1, 1967 and adopting new ordinance, effective date to be October 1, 1969 . Regular Meeting - August 4, 1969 Page Five Motion by Smith, seconded by Hramec, to pay $125 .00 toward installation of an air conditioner at the present meeting place in cooperation with the McHenry Township Fire Protection District. Motion by Stanek, seconded by Bolger, to seal and resurface the skating pond at the A.P. Freund Athletic Field at a cost of $3,500.00. Mayor Doherty appointed a committee, consisting of Aldermen Smith, Stanek, and Rogers , to investigate advisability of CATV installation in the City. Motion by Stanek, seconded by Smith, to grant the request of Mrs . L.C. Fuhrer, County Chairman of The Chicago Chapter, National Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation to conduct a fund drive in the residential area August 24 through September 2, 1969 .
