Motion by Bolger, seconded by Huck, to adopt Resolution to • Hon. the Henerary Thomas J. Hanahan (Copy attached to these minutes) pertaining to the drainage ditch in the Lakeland Park area. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Rogers, seocnded by Wegener, to purchase generator mounted on truck for emergency use at the sewage treatment plant and at the sanitary sewer lifts, cost of equipment $2900. 00 and estimated cost of installation of $1700. 00. (Check #456) Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, Illinois, has been made aware of an unfavorable condition existing in the drainage ditch which runs through the Lakeland Park area in the City, and WHEREAS, investigation shows the condition of the drainage ditch is a menace to the public health and welfare in the community, and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of McHenry deem it necessary to correct the situation immediately, and WHEREAS, the estimate of cost to correct the situation would place too great a financial burden on the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of McHenry request the Hon. Thomas J. Hanahan of the Thirty Third Representative District to present this urgent problem to the General Assembly of the State of Illinois for consideration in �., appropriating funds to correct the problem stated. FURTHER, that the City of McHenry engage the services of W. A. Rakow and Associates, Civil and Sanitary Engineers, to prepare preliminary engineering plans on the proposed project. DONALD P.
