APRIL 21, 1969
8 P.M.
The City Council of McHenry convened for the regular semi-
monthly meeting with Mayor Doherty presiding. As per notice, business
usual to the Annual Meeting was also brought before the council to close
out the current fiscal year. Aldermen present: Bolger, Etten, Hromec,
Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener. Absent: None.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Huck, to approve the minutes
of regular meeting held April 7th as read.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen,
Rogers, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Rogers, seconded by Pitzen, to approve the treasurer's
report for the month of April.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen,
Rogers, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Hromec, to approve the clerk's report
for the month of April as read.

The City Clerk announced that the judges of election in each
ward had duly delivered the ballots, returns and tally sheets in connection
with the election for city officials held on the 15th day of April, 1969.
Motion by Rogers, seconded by Wegener, that the clerk open and
read the return. The clerk then opened and read the return which showed the
following votes cast for the persons indicated:

Alderman Etten then presented the following resolution:
"The returns of the election held on the 15th day of April 1969
having been duly made to the city clerk, and having been canvassed in
open meeting, now therefore be it resolved that Donald P. Doherty be
declared to be elected Mayor; and that Earl R. Walsh be declared to be
elected City Clerk; that Thomas F. Bolger be declared to be elected
City Treasurer; that Theodore N. Pitzen be declared to be elected
Alderman of the First Ward; that Joseph Stanek be declared to be
elected Alderman of the Second Ward; that Raymond L.Smith be declared
to be elected Alderman of the Third Ward; that Frank S. Hromec be
declared to be elected Alderman of the Fourth Ward. "
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Huck, to adopt the Resolution.

agreement with Henry Ryan for lease of parking area in back of the McHenry
Theater.

Motion by Bolger, seconded by Pitzen, to file petition with the
Illinois Commerce Commission for signals at the Chicago and Northwestern
Railway crossing at Main Street.

Rogers, Smith, Wegener.

Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Smith, to transfer $5,000.00 from
the General Fund to the McHenry Library, due from Tax Levy. (ck. # 1115)
