JANUARY 8, 1968
Following proper notification and at the call of the
Mayor, the City Council convened for a Special Meeting Monday,
January 8, 1968 at 8 P.M. in the Council Room.
The purpose of the meeting was to review engineering
reports on proposed expansion of sanitary sewer facilities,
establishment of police salaries as required by the State of
Illinois, and other business that might rightfully be acted
upon at a Special Meeting.
Mayor Doherty presided at the meeting and upon roll call the
following aldermen were present: Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Jackson, Pitzen,
Rogers, Smith, Wegener. Absent: Huck.
H. S. Sundin of the Baxter and Woodman engineering firm reviewed
a written report presented to the council in December, 1967 pertaining
expansion of the sewage disposal plant and sanitary sewer additions.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Etten, to authorize payment
of $500.00 holding fee to Charles E. Coles on property adjacent to the (Ck. #69)
sewage disposal plant, and authorize an appraisal of the property.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Jackson, Pitzen,
Rogers, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "nay": None.
Absent: Huck.
Motion carried.
Motion by Rogers, Pitzen, to designate the following police
salaries, effective January 1, 1968:
Richard W. Clark - $745.00
Kenneth P. Espey - 625.00

Robert H. Kranz - 600.00
John R. Weichmann - 575.00
Gregory P. Burg - 550.00
Daniel Kinnerk - 525. 00
John P. Davis - 525.00
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Jackson, Pitzen,
Rogers, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: Huck.
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Rogers, to pay Lakeland Construction (Ck. 277)
Co., Inc. $10, 735. 82 due on various storm sewer projects, and Verako Products (Ck. 67)
$162. 53 for waterworks suppliest

Rogers, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: Huck.
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Smith, to adjourn.
