JANUARY 15, 1968
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Etten, Hromec,
Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener. Absent: None.
Motion by Etten, seconded by Jackson, to approve minutes
of regular meeting held January 2nd and special meeting held January
8th as read.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson,
Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Rogers, to pass and approve
ordinance to establish a Board of Police Commissioners in the City of
McHenry.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson,
Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Hromec, to pass and approve
ordinance to establish a Board of Trustees of a Police Pension Fund
for the City of McHenry.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson,
Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to grant the request
of the Easter SeaZ Therapy Center for McHenry County to hold a Tag Day
in McHenry on Saturday, April 6, 1968.
Vcting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson,
Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Smith, to direct the City Clerk
and City Attorney to send a letter to the Board of Education, School
District #156 requesting a;deposit of $400.00 with the city to cover cost of
adjustment of water hydrants and valve vault cover grades as outlined in
letter of January 3, 1968 from Baxter and Woodman (Engineers) .

Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener.

Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn.
