FEBRUARY 5, 1968
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Etten, Hromec,
Huck, Jackson, Rogers, Smith, Wegener, Absent: Pitzen.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Jackson, to approve the minutes
of regular meeting held January 15th and special meeting held January
29th as read.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson,
Rogers, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: Pitzen.
Motion carried.
Alderman Pitzen was present at this point in the meeting.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Etten, to approve the treasurer's
report as read.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen,
Rogers, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Wegener, to approve the clerk's report
as read.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen,
Rogers, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Alderman Hromec was absent at this point in the meeting.

approved by the finance committee:

Motion by Huck, seconded by Wegener, to approve the application of
the Girl Scouts to hold their annual Cookie Day sales in McHenry March 30,
1968.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers,
Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: Hromec.
Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Pitzen, to approve the application of
the Salvation Army to hold their annual Doughnut Day Tag Day in McHenry June
7, 1968.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers,
Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent; Hromec.
Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Huck, to authorize Mayor Doherty to
spend $5,000.00 (through the Off Street Parking Fund) toward acquisition of
property facing Pearl Street (Part of Lot #1, Block #19) owned by Albert and
Mary Rita Stilling.
