HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 11/18/1968 - City Council REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 18. 1968 The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener. Absent: None. Motion by Hromec, seconded by Rogers, to approve the minutes of regular meeting held November 4th as read. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Rogers, seconded by Hromec, to adopt "An Ordinance providing for the submission to the voters of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, the question of issuing $675,000 Sewer Improvement Bonds at a special election to be held in and for said City on the ZOth day of December, 1968. Motion by Huck, seconded by Pitzen, to repeal Ordinance No. 33 Establishing The Offices of City Marshall and Deputy Marshall. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Regular Meeting - November 18. 1968 Motion by Smith, seconded by Jackson, to pass and approve Ordinance Creating An Auxiliary Police Force (No. MC-38) . Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Huck, to approve Mayor Doherty 's appointment of Ann Wohnrade as a member of the McHenry Library Board to fill the unexpired term of Mrs. Greta Goodell. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn.
