MARCH 5, 1962
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor
Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Brown, Conway, Pitzen,
Schaefer, Smith. Absent: None.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes as
read of the regular meeting held February 19, 1962. Motion carried.
Motion by Schaefer, seconded by Conway, to approve the treasurer's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to approve the collector's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Brown, to approve the clerk's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Schaefer, to pay the following bills
as approved by the finance committee:

Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to authorize the Clerk to issue
check to Edwin V. Knox and Martin Knox as per closing statement prepared by Ck.
Jity Attorney John E. Looze in the purchase of 2-acre tract adjacent to the #29
site of the Waterworks Plant. Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Bolger, to deny the petition of 0. Edwin
Malenius for Variation of Zoning Classification heard by the Zoning Board of
Appeals February 2, 1962. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Smith, to authorize repairs to the
exterior of the City Hall as approved by the Public Property Committee.
Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Pitzen, to approve installation of
street light at North Green Street, locating at Fairway Drive. Motion
carried.
