JULY 2, 1962
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor
Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Pitzen, Smith.
Absent: Schaefer.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Pitzen, to approve the minutes of
the last regular meeting held June 18, 1962. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Bolger, to approve the treasurer's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Conway, to approve the clerk's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Smith, to pay the following bills
as approved by the finance committee:

Motion by Bolger, seconded by Conway, to adopt resolution designating
Prevailing Wage Scale. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Smith, to adopt Resolution For Improvement
By Municipality Under The Motor Fuel Tax Law pertaining construction of a
bituminous concrete surface on Washington Street, Pearl Street and Green Street.
(This resolution supercedes a resolution adopted by the Council May 7, 1962
and approved by the Department June 4, 1962.) Motion carried.

Motion by Conway, seconded by Pitzen, to pay Illinois Underground
Contractors, Inc. the sum of $6,196.19 from Waterworks and Sewerage System
Bond Construction Fund Account (Maple Avenue and Millstream Drive area) as
per certification by W. A. Rakow & Associates, Engineers. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Smith, to grant request made by the
Illinois Missionary Childrents Home to conduct a Tag Day in McHenry, Saturday,
July 7, 1962. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Conway, to adjourn. Motion carried.
