SEPTEMBER 17, 1962
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mwor
Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Etten, Huck,
Pitzen, Smith. Absent: None.
Motion by Etten, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes of
the last meeting held September 4, 1962. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Huck, to approve the treasurer's
�-- report for the month of August. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Huck, to pass and approve ordinance
providing for zoning reclassification and amendment of the Zoning Ordinance
in the matter of the application of The Estate of Martin Cooney, Deceased,
as recommended by the Zoning Board of Appeals following hearing August 24
and August 31, 1962. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Conway, to extend road construction
on Third Street, providing concrete curb and gutters, gravel base and
prime coat at an estimated cost of $3476.76 in conjunction with M.F.T.
Project Section 12-C.S. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to pay Band salaries and
expenses in the amount of $980.00 as per report submitted by Stanley
Vycital, Band Director. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Bolger, to grant permission to
the Woodstock Children's Home to hold a Tag Day in McHenry on Saturday,
October 27, 1962. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Smith, to deny the request of the
Red Cross to hold a Tag Day in McHenry September 29, 1962.
A Upon roll call the vote was recorded as follows:
Voting "No" - Bolger
Voting "Yes" - Conway, Etten, Huck, Pitzen, Smith.
Motion carried.
Mayor Doherty called a Special Meeting of the City Council to
be held Monday, September 24, 1962 at 8 P.M. in the City Hall for the
purpose of hearing a report of audit of city books covering the past
fiscal year.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to adjourn. Motion
carried.
