DECEMBER 17, 1962
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting
with Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Conway, Etten,
Huck, Pitzen, Smith. Absent: Bolger.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to approve the minutes
of last regular meeting held December 3rd, 1962. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Pitzen, to accept the recom-
mendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals and deny the petition of
Mitchell Bykowski and Lottie Bykowski for Zoning Variation in the
matter of the application before the Zoning Board of Appeals
November 30, 1962. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Smith, to instruct the City
Attorney to send 14-day notice to John A. Fleming ordering removal
of unusable equipment and parts piled on premises occupied by him
in the conduct of his business. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Conway, to adopt resolution
to the McHenry County Board of Supervisors pertaining zoning regulations
in the county. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Smith, to pass and approve
ordinance vacating Private Lane area at McHenry Hospital location,
Venice Park. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Etten, that the petition of
H. Walter Anderson and Eugene P. Nye for Zoning Variation, heard
December 7, 1962, be denied as recommended by the Zoning Board of
Appeals. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to pay the American
National Bank and Trust Company the sum of $5,360.00 ($5000 Principal, Ck. #53
$350 Interest, $10 Service Fee) due January 1, 1963 on Street Lighting
Bonds. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Etten, to pay the American
National Bank and Trust Company the sum of $16,464.00 ($15,000 Principal, Ck. #54
$1,443.75 Interest, $20.25 Service Fee) due January 1, 1963 on Sewer
Improvement Refunding Bonds. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to pay W. A. Rakaw &
Associates engineering services in the amount of $1,843.72 balance
due in connection with sanitary sewer project along Millstream Drive
and Maple Avenue, and $265.00 covering zoning maps. Motion carried. Ck. #1429
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn. Motion carried.
