JANUARY 16, 1961
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Brown, Holly, Pitzen, Thennes. Absent:
Conway.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Pitzen, to approve the minutes of regular
meeting of January 3, 1961 as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Brown, to accept the recommendation of
the Street and Alley Committee to widen North Side of Waukegan Street at Front
Street at an estimated total cost of $2,000.00, the sum of $700.00 to be con-
tributed by the Standard 0i1 Company. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Brown, to instruct the City Attorney
to place of record notice of Sanitary Sewer facilities and Storm Sewer facilities in
property described South of Elm Street (Illinois Routes 120 and 31) formerly owned
by A. P. Freund. Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Bolger, to adopt Resolution accepting terms
of License granted by the Chicago and North Western Railway Company to construct,
maintain and use Water Mains under railroad tracks described in Exhibit "A"
attached to License, and to pay the Railway Company a fee of $25.00. Motion
carried.
Mayor Freund reappointed LeRoy Olson and Theodore N. Pitzen to three
year terms as members of the McHenry Plan Commission.
Following resignation of Charles D. Brown from the McHenry Plan
Commission, Mayor Freund appointed Daniel Justen the unexpired term of one year.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Brown, to approve Mayor Freund's appoint-
ments to the Plan Commission. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Brown, to adjourn. Motion carried.
