MARCH 20, 1961
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly
meeting with Mayor Freund presiding. Aldermen present:
Bolger, Brown, Conway, Holly, Pitzen, Thennes. Absent:
None.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Pitzen, to approve
the minutes of the last meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Brown, to purchase
a Remington Police Riot Gun from Ernie's Sport Center at a
cost of $80.00.
Voting "no": Bolger
Voting "yes": Brown, Conway, Holly,
Pitzen, Thennes.
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Holly, to purchase
twenty-three (23) 2-hour parking meters from the Duncan
Parking Meter Corporation at a cost of $57.50 per meter,
payments to be made on the basis of a minimum of $2.00
per meter per month, meters to be installed on Green Street
from present metered area to Waukegan Street. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Thennes, to grant
request of The Salvation Army to conduct its annual Doughnut
`, Day on Friday, June 9th, 1961. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Pitaen, to pass and
approve amendment to "An Ordinance Concerning Street Names"
adopted February 20, 1961, a copy of amendment being attached
to these minutes. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to adjourn.
Motion carried.
