Aldermen present: Bolger, Brown, Conway, Pitzen, Schaefer, Smith. Absent: None& Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes of the last meeting as read. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Brown, to approve the treasurer' s report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Smith, to approve the collector' s report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Conway, seconded by Schaefer, to approve the clerk's report as read. Motion carried. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Schaefer, to set salaries of James Kennebeck and Michael Brown at $375.00 per month. Motion carried. W. A. Rakow and Associates, Consulting Engineers, submitted for approval plans, specifications and estimate of cost of the extensions of sanitary sewer to the proposed industrial sites, Maple Avenue and Millstream Dirve. After discussion, it was moved by Alderman Pitzen, seconded by Alderman Brown, that the above mentioned engineering report be accepted and placed on file in the City Clerk's office for public inspection. Upon roll call the following Aldermen voted: Voting "Yes": Bolger, Brown, Conway, Pitzen, Schaefer, Smith. Voting "No": None Absent: None Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to advertise for bids for construction of sanitary sewer along Maple Avenue and Millstream Drive and the proposed industrial site area, bids to be received until 8 P.M. (C.D.S.T.) July 24, 1961. Motion carried. Motion by Brown, seconded by Bolger, to accept authorization of the Board of Local Improvements to issue voucher to Preston Woodall Company in the amount of $7000.00 under Special Assessment project known as Golf View Avenue and Other Streets Sanitary Sewer, said amount being certified by W. A. Rakow and Associates, engineers. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Schaefer, to pay Joseph H. Huemann and Sons $6.939.00 due on contract for Waterworks Improvement Project, as per estimate and certification of W. A. Rakow and Associates, engineers. Motion carried. Motion by Conway, seconded by Bolger, to pass and approve resolution as read and authorize the Mayor aid City Clerk to sign agreement with the McHenry Township Fire Protection District providing ._, for 24-hour service on emergency calls to be received by the police department. Motion carried. Motion by Brown, seconded by Schaefer, to authorize the Mayor to hire two policeman for desk service at the City Hall at a maximum monthly salary of $200.00 per man, said policemen to be hired on a 30-day trial basis. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Schaefer, to approve the request of the McHenry Pony League to hold a benefit Tag Day in McHenry on Saturday, July 8, 1961. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to-gay Preston Woodall Company $5314.80 for sewer extension on Victoria Avenue as per proposal Ck.#231.8 dated March 14, 1961. motion carried. Motion by Conway, seconded by Brown, to pay the Fiesta Day Committee $100.00 to help defray expenses incurred in connection with Ck.#1119i2 the 125th Anniversary of the City of McHenry. DOHERTY, MAYOR RESOLUTION BY THE CITY CuUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO TRANSFER CERTAIN FUNDS ON DEPOSIT IN THE MCHENRY STATE BANK. Whereas taxes are levied and collected for the purpose of paying interest on bonds and retiring of bonds when due, and Whereas the County Collector makes no separation of cath paid to the city, and Whereas bond and interest funds are now on deposit in the general fund of the City of McHenry and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Treasurer of the City of McHenry is hereby authorized to transfer 50% of tax money (including back taxes) received from the County Collector during the current fiscal year from the general fund to the Bond and Interest Retirement Fund, and Be it Further Resolved that the Treasurer of the City of McHenry is hereby authorized to transfer such other amounts from the General Fund to the Bond and Interest Retirement Fund as may be found necessary to pay interest on bonds and retire bonds becoming due as City of McHenry obli- gations during the current fiscal year.
