NOVEMBER 6, 1961
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
Mayor Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Pitzen,
Schaefer, Smith. Absent: Brown.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Smith, to approve the minutes
of the last meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to approve the treasurer's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Schaefer, to approve the collector's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Bolger, to approve the clerk's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to pay the following bills as
approved by the finance committee:

Motion by Smith, seconded by Bolger, to pay Richard Clark,
$70.00 covering expense items while attending Police School. Voting Ck. #260
"Yes": Bolger, Conway, Schaefer, Smith. Alderman Pitzen abstained
from voting on the motion. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Conway, to pay public transporta-
tion cost and tuition fees, if any, for members of the department
attending police schools at the direction of the council. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Schaefer, to open bids pertaining
purchase of new police car. Motion carried.
The following bid was receiveds
A. S. Blake Motors, Inc. - 1962 Plymouth Police Pursuit
Car - $1690.00 plus trade-in of presently owned 1961
Plymouth Police Car.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Schaefer, to accept the bid of
A. S. Blake Motors, Inc. to sell the City a 1962 Plymouth Police Pursuit
car at a cost of $1690.00 plus trade-in of presently owned 1961 Plymouth
police car. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to amend the existing City
of McHenry Zoning Ordinance to reclassify to B-1 the entire piece of property
described in petition before the Zoning Board of Appeals in the application
of Herman J. Scholle and Louise E. Scholle, as per recommendation of the
Zoning Board of Appeals following hearing held November 3, 1961. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to adopt resolution authorizing
transfer of interest gained on investment of Waterworks Improvement Fund to
._ the Water and Sewer Fund. Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Schaefer, to pay salaries due city
employees on first and fifteenth day of each month. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Pitzen, to adjourn. Motion carried.
