FEBRUARY 20, 1967
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor
Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Etten, Huck,
Jackson, Pitzen, Smith, Wegener. Absent: None.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Huck, to approve the minutes of
regular meeting held February 6th as read. Motion carried.
Warren Kuhlman, Chairman of the McHenry Planning Commission,
appeared before the City Council, presented a preliminary layout of
commercial, multiple, and single family residential areas exhibited
and explained by the telegraph Savings and Loan Association and
recommended its approval.
It was moved by Smith, seconded by Conway, with unanimous approval,
that the recommendation of the McHenry Planning Commission be accepted.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Etten, to pass and approve No.MC-29
Ordinance Amending Artice IV of Chapter 13 Of The Municipal Code concerning
vehicles parking in violation of Section 43 preventing adequate snow
removal. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to pay the following bills:
McHenry Chamber of Commerce $750.00 #4672G
Eddie's Arranging Service 16.75 #4671G
Northern Bank Note Company 290.65 #225
Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Huck, to approve the request of the Deaf
Children of Lake and McHenry Counties Association of Parents and Friends to
hold a candy sale April 8, 1967. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Jackson, to grant request of St. Jude Children' s
Research Hospital to conduct a "Teenage March Against Leukemia", Sept. 17, 1967.
Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Conway, to pay the following from $95,U00
Storm Sewer Bond Issue Fund, as per engineer' s estimate showing breakdown of
items:
W. A. Rakow and Associates - Engineering - $1,603.10 #226
Gluth Brothers - Construction - $58,733.00 #227
Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Bolger, to pass Resolution named "Renewal
Of The 1964 Permit Yearly Resolution" to the State of Illinois pertaining
work by the city with its own forces on State Highways. Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn. Motion carried.
