HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 04/17/1967 - City Council REGULAR MEETING APRT.L 17, 1967 In the absence of Mayor Doherty at meeting time, Alderman Bolger, seconded by Alderman Conway, nominated Alderman Pitzen as Mayor Pro Tem. All aldermen (Bolger, Conway, Etten. Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Smith and Wegener) were present, and the motion was approved. Motion by Conway, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes of regular meeting held April 3rd and special meeting held April 10th. Motion carried. Motion by Jackson, seconded by Smith, to pay each Judge Ck. #14765 of T+.lection i20.00 for services in the April 18th election and through authorize the payments following the election day. Motion carried. Ck,. #4784 Motion by Smith, seconded by Huck, to authorize the Supt. of Public Works to consult with W. A. Rakow and Associates, engineers, regarding proposed surfacing and widening of Green Street from Elm Street north. Motion carried. Mayor Doherty was present at this point and conducted the balance of the meeting. Motion by Etten, seconded by Wegener, to approve the property owners' petition to annex an area along Crestwood Drive and Lillian street at Crystal Lake Road. Motion carried. Motion by Smith, seconded by Huck, to pass and approve an Ordinance annexing lots described and Public Roadways in the Lillian Street-Crystal Lake area. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway,to approve the preliminary plat of Unit No. 3 in Whisnering oaks Planned Unit Development. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to rescind motion made at Special Meeting APri.1. 10, 1967 to amend Ordinance designating sanitary sewer hookup fee of $250.00 for single unit dwellings. Motion carried. Motion by Smith, seconded by Jackson, to passand approve Amendment to Ordinance designating the following sanitary sewer connection fees, effective June 1, 1967: Single fanny ly residential k250.n0 Multinl_e residential structures: First unit 250.00 Each additional unit 50.00 Commercial structures 275.00 Industrial structures 300.00 Vcti.ng "No": Bolger Voting "Yes": Conway, Etten, Huck, Jackson, Pitzen, Smith, Wegener. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to transfer the sum of A11,037.50 from the Water and Sewer Fund to the General Fund, the amount Ck. #h2.00 determined to be due for salaries paid from the General Fund. Meeting Wednesday, April 19, 1967 at 6 P.M. in the Council Room to canvas returns of the April 18th Aldermanic election and to waive notification. Motion carried.
