OCTOBER 2, 1967
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor
Doherty presiding. Aldermen present: Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Smith,
Wegener. Absent: Bolger, Pitzen, Rogers.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Wegener, to approve the minutes of regular
meeting held September 18th as read.
Voting "Aye": Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Naye": None.
Absent: Bolger, Pitzen, Rogers.
Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Etten, to approve the treasurer's report
as read.

Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Jackson, to approve the clerk's report as
read.

Motion by Jackson, seconded by Etten, to approve bond to approve
Subdivision Performance and Payment Bond filed by Boone Valley Development,
Inc. as principal and the General Insurance Company of America as surety,
in the amount of $395,528. 00 pertaining Unit #3, and authorize the Mayor and
Clerk to sign plat of Boone Valley Unit No. 3.

Motion by Smith, seconded by Huck, to release Bond No. 537582 Boone
Valley Development, Inc., in the amount of $12,000.00, pertaining Unit No. 1,
said bond having been replaced by Maintenance Bond in the amount of $5,000. 00.

Regular Meeting - October 2, 1967
The following bids were submitted for improvements and surfacing
Green Street north from EZm Street under Motor FueZ Tax Section 17-CS:
Lakeland Construction Co. , Inc. $24,192.30
E. M. Melahn Constr. Co. 27,948. 60
Zimmerman & KahZer, Inc. 29,010. 34
Motion by Wegener, seconded by Hromec, to award contract to the
L-- Zow bidder, Lakeland Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of $24,192.30,
under MFT 17-CS, as per engineer's recommendation, subject to the approval
of the State of Illinois, Department of Public Works and Buildings, Division
of Highways.

Absent: Bolger, Pitzen, Rogers.

Motion by Smith, seconded by Hromec, to rent portion of building
from Chuck Coles for storage of equipment at a cost of $225. 00 for six months.

Motion by Huck, seconded by Jackson, to authorize the Mayor and Clerk
to sign plat of Boats and Saddle Subdivision submitted by Dan Fry, upon approval
by the McHenry Plan Commission.
Voting "Aye": Hromec, Huck, Jackson, Smith, Wegener.
Voting "Naye": Etten.
Absent: Bolger, Pitzen, Rogers.
Motion carried.
Alderman Pitzen was present at this point in the meeting.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Smith, to pass and approve ordinance
annexing certain lands to the City of McHenry, Petitioners being George F. Cone
and Doris Cone, Clara K. Adams, Ronald C. Adams and LaVerne A. Adams.
Voting "Aye": Etten, Hromec, Huck, Jackson,Pitzen, Smith,Wegener.
Voting "Naye": None.
Absent: Bolger, Rogers.
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Huck, to authorize the Mayor to apply for
Federal Funds under BiZZ Known As "701" for assistance in bringing city planning
up to date.

Motion carried.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Wegener, to advertise for bids for purchase
of 1968 Police Car.
