An Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Personal Property
Owned by the City of McHenry
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry, it
is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the City of McHenry to
retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Mayor and City Council of the City
of McHenry to sell said personal property for cash.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MCHENRY, as follows:
SECTION 1: The Mayor and City Council of the City of McHenry find that the
following described personal property now owned by said jurisdiction is no longer
necessary to said jurisdiction and said jurisdiction would be best served by the said
personal property sale:
Motorola Mobile Data Terminal Ser#314SXG0319 to Village of Prairie Grove
Motorola Mobile Data Terminal Ser#314SXG0317 to Village of Hebron
Motorola Mobile Data Terminal Ser#314SXG0316 to Village of Hebron.
SECTION 2: The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to sell to
the Village of Prairie Grove, Illinois, for the purchase price of $400, the above -described
personal property now owned by the City of McHenry.
SECTION 3: The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to sell to
the Village of Hebron, Illinois, for the purchase price of $800, the above -described
personal property now owned by the City of McHenry.
SECTION 4: Upon payment in full, the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to convey and/or transfer the aforesaid property to the Village of Prairie Grove,
Illinois, and the Village of Hebron, Illinois, respectively.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the corporate authorities.
PASSED and APPROVED this 17`h day of September, 2001.
