HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 12/15/1958 - City Council REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 15, 1958 The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Brown, Holly, Newkirk, Pitzen. Absent: Thennes. Motion by Holly, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes of the last meeting as read. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Newkirk, to pay the American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago the sum of $5,797.50 due January 1, 1959 #13105 on 3z% Street Lighting Bonds, covering the following items: Interest $787.50 Principal 5,000.00 Service Fee 10.00 Motion carried. Motion by Brown, seconded by Holly, to pay the American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago the sum of $12,080.00 due January 1, 1959 on 2 3/)4% #13104 Sewer Improvement Refunding Bonds, covering the following items: Interest S2,062.50 Principal 10,000.00 Service Fee 17.50 Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Newkirk, to authorize the Mayor to sign and file preliminary application for Illinois State Housing Board Planning Assistance under Section 701 of the Housing Act of 195)4. Motion carried. Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Brown, to approve the application of Service Bakery of DesPlaines, Illinois for house to house delivery of bakery goods. Motion carried. Motion by Brown, seconded by Newkirk, to deny the Petition for Re-Zoning in which the petitioners, Florence M. Welter, Madeline M. Knight, LeRoy J. Welter, W. E. Knight, Theodore S. Miller and Frances Miller requested zoning reclassification of property on Richmond Road from "R-2" to "B-1". Voting "Yes": Brown, Newkirk, Mayor Freund Voting "No": Bolger, Pitzen Not Voting: Holly The motion was declared carried. Motion by Newkirk, seconded by Brown, to adjourn. Motion carried. Q AN:44141?
