JUKE 15, 1959
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor
Freund presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Holly, Pitzen,
Thennes. Absent: None.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Pitzen, to approve the minutes of
the last meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Holly, to authorize W. A.Rakow &
Associ ates to prepare plans and estimates for surfacing and constructing
curb and gutter in Park Ave's. from Green Street to Center Street. Motion
carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to pay the American National
Bank and Trust Company of Chicago $1925.00 interest and $7.00 service fee #13427
due July 1, 1959 on 2 3/4% Sewer Improvement Refunding Bonds. Motion
carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Thennes, to pay the American National
Bank and Trust 6ompany of Chicago $700.00 interest and $5.00 service fee #13428
due July 1, 1959 on 32% Street Lighting Bonds. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Holly, to pay Paul R. Yanda $50.00
salary due for services as director of the McHenry Band. Motion carried. #13426
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Thennes, to pay Lakeland Construction
Company $323.25, balance due on North Court Street Sanitary Sewer con- #1817•
struction project. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to pay Lakeland Construction
Company the sum of $577.b5, representing the City of McHenry's share (1/3) #13430
of balance due on Park Ave. Storm Sewer project, and to pay W. A. Rakow and
Associates the sum of $203.67, being 1/3 of engineering costs on above #13429
project. Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Thennes, to pay $4500.00 to the
Illinois State Housing Board as per agreement for planning assistance. #13432
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Conway, to grant the request of the
Illinois Missionary Children's Home to conduct their annual tag day in
McHenry. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Pitzen, to pass,and approve "An
Ordinance Relating To Local Civil Defense." Motion carried.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Holly, to adjourn. Motion carried.
