OCTOBER 3, 1960
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
Mayor Freund presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Conway, Holly,
Pitzen, Thennes. Absent: Brown.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes
%.- of the last meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Holly, to approve the treasurer's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Holly, to approve the collector's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Bolger, to approve the clerk's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Conway, to pay the following bills
as approved by the finance committee:

Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Thennes, to transfer $5,445.00 tax
money, received from the County Treasurer, from the General Fund to the Ck.#14398
Bond and Interest Fund. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Conway, to authorize the purchase
of transit at a cost not to exceed $12 5.00. Motion carried.
Motion by Conway, seconded by Bolger, to grant permission to
the Volunteers of American to hold a Tag Day in McHenry on October 22, 1960.
Motion carried.
Motion by Pitsen, seconded by Conway* to adjourn. Motion carried.
