HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 11/01/1960 - City Council SPECIAL MEETING OCTOBER 10, 1960 The City Council of McHenry convened at 7 P.M. (C.D.T.), Monday, October 10, 1960 as per published notice and proper notification of all council members for the purpose of receiving bids for furnishing new water tower, and to act on other business that might rightfully come before the council in special meeting. Mayor Freund presided at the meeting and upon roll call the following aldermen were present: Bolger, Brown, Conway, Pitzen, Thennes1 Alderman Holly was absent. Motion by Thennes, seconded by Brown, to open bids submitted pertaining new water tower. Motion carried. The following bids were received: 300,000 gals. 400,000 gals. 500,000 gals. Graver Tank & Mfg. Motion carried. Motion by Thennes, seconded by Brown, to grant the request of the Woodstock Children's Home for permission to conduct a Tag Day in McHenry, Saturday, October 15, 1960. Motion carried.
