At roll call the following aldermen were present: Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Absent: None. Motion by Harker, seconded by Bolger, to approve minutes of the Sept. 16, 1974, meeting as read. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Pepping, seconded by Howard, to rescind action taken at the Sept. 16, 1974, meeting to advertise for bids on police cars, Fords only, and to revert to the motion accepting bids submitted by Payton Chevrolet, Inc. to furnish two (2) 1975 Chevrolets at a cost of $3,484.05 each. Voting "Ave" Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Datz, to extend commendation to the Police Sergeant Daniel E. Kinnerk for his action in apprehending bank robber in recent robbery of the Richmond State Bank. The Purchasing Committee secured the following quotations on car to be used by the Meter Maid: September 30, 1974 Sunnyside Dodge: 1974 Colt - 2 door hardtop - 4 speed - 4 cyl. automatic - radio - W.S.T. white Lincoln-Mercury: 1974 Comet - 2 door - 6 cyl. automatic - radio - W.S.T. med. brown Mitchel -Buick: 1974 Opel Manto - 2 door coupe Buss Ford: 1974 Maverick - 2 door - 6 cyl. automatic - radio green -gold Page Two $3,040.70 3,183.00 3,318.50 2,900.00 Motion by Wegener, seconded by Harker, to purchase the 1974 Ford Maverick from Buss Ford Sales at cost of $2,900.00 Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Wegener, seconded by Howard, to authorize purchase of new snow plow from Smith Oil Corp. at a cost of $1,395.20, plus installation cost of $120.00. Voting "Aye" Voting "Nay": Absent: None. Bolger, Datz , Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener None Motion by Harker, seconded by Wegener, to pass ordinance changing speed limit on Green St. from the City limits from 25 mph to 30 MPH. (City limits on the South to Anne Street.) Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Rogers, seconded by Datz, to authorize the Mayor, City Attorney and the Recreation and Parks Committee to proceed with agreement for purchase of park property from Kenneth Petersen in accordance with guidlines set forth by the State of Illinois Qepartment of Conservation for land acquisition grant.
