September 16, 1974 -- 8 p.m.
The City Council met in regular meeting with Mayor Stanek
presiding. At roll call the following aldermen were present: Bolger,
Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Absent: None.
Motion by Harker, seconded by Rogers, to approve the minutes
of the regular meeting, Sept. 3, 1974, and the Special meeting --Sept. 5, 1974,
as read.
Voting "Aye"
Voting "Nay":
Absent: None.
Motion carried.

Pepping, Rogers, Wegener.
None.
Motion by Howard, seconded by Rogers, to pay $300.00 to the
Comprehensive Health Planning Agency.
Voting "Aye":

Absent: None.
Motion carried.

Motion by Wegener, seconded by Datz, to open bids on two
new police cars.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec,

The following bids were received with trade-ins as per
speci fi cati ons

Motion by Pepping, seconded by Hromec, to accept the low
bid submitted by Payton Chevrolet, Inc. of $3,484.05 each police car.
Upon roll call the following vote was recorded:
Bolger --AYE; Datz--NAY; Harker --NAY; Howard --NAY; Hromec--AYE;
Pepping --AYE; Rogers --AYE; Wegener --NAY.
There being a tie vote, Mayor Stanek voted "NAY" and
declared the motion did not carry.
Motion by Pepping, seconded by Rogers, to advertise for
bids on two 1975 Police cars (Fords only) as per specifications.
Upon roll call the following vote was recorded:
Bolger --NAY; Datz--NAY; Harker --AYE; Howard --AYE; Hromec--AYE;
Pepping --AYE; Rogers --AYE; Wegener --AYE.
There being six (6) "AYE" Votes and two (2) "NAY" votes,
the Mayor declared the motion carried.
Motion by Wegener, seconded by Harker, to grant the request
of McHenry Council No. 1288 Knights of Columbus to hold a "Tootsie
Ro17 Day" Nov. 2, 1974, to assist mentally retarded children in this area.
Voting "Ave" Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec,
Pepping, Rogers, Wegener.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.

of the following bills:
