May 205 1974 -- 8 p.m.
The City Council met in regular meeting with Mayor Stanek
presiding. At roll call, the following aldermen were present: Bolger,
Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Absent: None.
Motion by Rogers, seconded by Harker, to approve the minutes
of the May 6, 1974 meeting, as read.

Absent: None.
Motion carried.

Motion by Pepping, seconded by Datz, to pay $100.00 to � G%era
Youth, Inc.
Upon roll call, the following vote was recorded:
Bolger -AYE; Datz-AYE; Harker -AYE; Howard -AYE; Hromec-AYE; Pepping -PASS;
Rogers -AYE; Wegener -AYE.
AYES--7 NAYS --none PASS--1 Absent: none.
The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Motion by Pepping, seconded by Hromec, to enter into
agreement with Clarke Outdoor Spraying Company, Inc. for the
Mosquito Abatement Program for the 1974 season at an estimated
cost of $8,527.00.
Upon roll call the following vote was recorded:
Bolger -AYE; Datz-AYE; Harker -AYE; Howard -NAY; Hromec-AYE;
Pepping -AYE; Rogers -AYE; Wegener -AYE.

The Mayor declared the motion carried.
Motion by Harker, seconded by Howard, to approve the
1974 Street Maintenance Program submitted by the Streets and Sidewalks
committee.

Motion by Bolger, seconded by Harker, to approve payment
of $225000.00 to Wm. Zeigler and Son, Inc. on Sewage Treatment Plant
contract as certified by Baxter & Woodman,Inc. Civil and Sanitary
Engineers.

Motion by Pepping, seconded by Datz, to pass resolution
to the State of Illinois for parade permit for Marine Festival
Day on July 14, 1974.

Motion by Bolger, seconded by Harker, to authorize the
Supt. of Public Works to purchase Beeco Back flow Preventor for
the Sewage Treatment Plant.
