The City Council met in regular meeting with Mayor Stanek presiding. At roll call, the following aldermen were present: Bolger, Datz, Harker, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Absent: *Howard. Motion by Harker, seconded by Wegener, to approve the minutes of the Feb. 4, 1974, and of the Special meeting on Feb. 11, 1974, as read. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: Howard. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Rogers, to approve the appointment of Anthony C. Pintozzi as a member of the McHenry Police Commission. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: Howard. Motion carried. Following review of truck bids on which action was deferred at last regular meeting, Alderman Harker, seconded by Alderman Wegener, moved that the City purchase 2-ton truck from Payton Chevrolet, Inc. at bid price of $6,682.98. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: Howard. Motion carried. Motion by Rogers, seconded by Datz, to open bids on Police car, tractors and equipment. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: Howard. Freund, Inc. was opended and read: Tractor and Mower -- $3,370.00 Motion by Wegener, seconded by Harker, to purchase Tractor and Mower from George P. Freund, Inc. at bid price of $3,370.00. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Hromec, Pepping, Rogers, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: Howard. Motion carried. The following bid was received from George P. Freund, Inc.: J.I. Case Tractor w/ Front End Loader and Rear Backhoe -- $14,000.00 Motion by Harker, seconded by Wegener, to purchase J. I. Case Tractor w/ Front End Loader and Rear Backhoe at bid price of $14,000.00. Motion by Rogers, seconded by Datz, to pass Resolution authorizing the City Attorney to petition the C. Flood of the Combined Counties Police Association, with possible action, and to review the Recodification of the Municipal Code, with possible action.
