At roll call, the following aldermen were present: Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Wegener. Absent: Rogers. Motion by Harker, seconded by Datz, to approve the minutes of the Sept. 4, 1973, meeting, as read. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: Rogers. Motion carried. Motion by Harker, seconded by Wegener, to obtain the services of Baxter & Woodman, Engineers to determine the problem on sanitary sewer line on Green Street near Kane Ave. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: Rogers. Motion carried. The following bids were received on proposed storm sewer improvement on Front Street: Kuch & Ingram, Inc. $37,740.00 Lakeland Construction Co., Inc. 20,868.00 Motion by Bolger, seconded by Hromec, to accept the storm sewer bid of Lakeland Construction Co., Inc. (alternate A) in the amount of $13,195.00, contingent on securing easements. Upon roll call, the following vote was recorded: Bolger, AYE; Datz, NAY; Harker,Howard, NAY; Hromec, AYE: Pepping, NAY; Rogers, Absent; Wegener, NAY. AYES - 2 NAYS - 5 Absent - 1. The Mayor declared the motion did not carry. Motion by Harker, seconded by Wegener, to accept the bid of Lakeland. Construction Co., Inc. on storm sewer construction (Front St.) (base bid) in the amount of $20,858.00. September 17, 1973 Page Two Upon roll call, the following vote was recorded. Bolger, NAY; Datz, AYE; Harker, AYE; Howard, AYE; Hromec, NAY, Pepping, AYE; Rogers, absent; Wegener, AYEo AYES - 5 NAYS - 2 ABSENT - 1 The Mayor declared the motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Harker, to authorize the Superintendent of Public Works to replace storm sewer at John St. to James St. W/S of Rt. 31 (Front St.) at an approximate cost of $3,000.00. Voting "AYE": Bolger Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Wegener Voting "Nay": None. Absent: Rogers. Motion carried. Motion by Howard, seconded by Pepping, to accept the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals In The Matter of The Application of The Wheeling Trust and Savings Bank, as Trustee under Trust No. 73-115 and Edwin J. Matus and Paul J. Doetsch, as beneficiaries of said Trust, For An Amendment of the Zoning Ordinance of The City of McHenry, and to pass Ordinance reclassifying Lots 1 and 2 in Block 1 in Lakeland Shores Unit No. 3 to "B-1" Commercial Retail District. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec._ Pepping, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: Rogers. Potion carried. Motion by Harker, seconded by Hromec, to accept the recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals In the Matter of The Application of The McHenry State Bank, As Trustee under Trust No. 330, and Michael J. Wieser and Dolores M. Wieser for an amendment and variation of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry, and to pass ordinance reclassifying Lots 12, 13 and 14 in Block 19 in Lakeland Park Unit No. 2 to "B-3" Commercial District. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Hromec, to table the report from the Zoning Board of Appeals In The Matter of The Application of Ralph L. Edgar For Zoning Reclassification And Amendment Of The Zoning Ordinance Of The City of McHenry, Illinois, to the next meeting of the City Counci 1. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Wegener. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: Rogers. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Datz, to grant the request of the First Baptis'rChurch for use of the Ban. Shell in the City Park on Saturday, Sept. 22, 1973. Voting "Aye": Bolger, Datz, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pepping, Wegener. Voting "nay": None. Absent: Rogers. Motion carried.
