At roll call, the following aldermen were present: Bolger, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Stanek. Absent: None. Motion by Harker, seconded by Howard, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held November 6, 1972 and the special meeting held November 16, 1972, as read. Voting "Aye": Smith, Stanek. Voting "Nay": Absent: None. Motion carried. Bolger, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pitzen, Rogers, None. Motion by Stanek, seconded by Rogers, to open bids on Lakeland Park Area Sanitary Sewer System Special Assessment No. 30, Sanitary Trunk Sewer, and Lakeland Park Sewage Pumping Station. Voting "Ave": Bolger, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Stanek. Voting "Nay": None. Absent: None. Motion carried. The following bids were received. Elgin, Illinois Alternate Proposal Zimmerman-Kahler Huntley, Illinois Alternate Proposal (Base Proposal) ------------------ $2203000.00 (Base Proposal) November 20, 1912 Page Two Motion by Rogers, seconded by Hromec, to tentatively award Contract "B", Sanitary Trunk Sewer, to Kuch & Ingram in the amount of $5045860.40 and to tentatively award Contract "C", Lakeland Park Sanitary Sewage Pumping Station, to Illinois Hydraulic Construction Company subject to engineers' recommendation as to alternate or base proposal, both awards subject to verification of bid figures by the engineers (Baxter and Woodman) and approved by HUD (Department of Housing and Urban Development). Motion carried. Motion by Harker, seconded by Bolger, to pay the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce $1,000.00 toward the expense of Christmas decorations in the City. Motion by Rogers, seconded by Harker, to grant the request of The Woman's Auxiliary of the Family Service and Mental Health Clinic for McHenry County to hold a Tag Day in McHenry on May 55 1973.
