Monday, October 30, 1972 -- 8 P.M.
The City Council met in regular meeting with Mayor Doherty presiding.
At roll call, 'the following aldermen were present: Bolger, Harker, Howard,
Hromec, Pitzen, Rogers, Smith, Stanek, Absent: None.
Motion by Harker, seconded by Bolger, to approve the minutes of the
regular meeting held October 15, 1972, as read.

Motion by Bolger, seconded by Howard, to accept the recommendation
of the Zoning Board of Appeals concerning the petition of Theodore S.
Miller and Frances V. Miller, his wife, for amendment to the Zoning
ordinance of the City of McHenry, and to pass and approve ordinance, as read.
Voting "Aye": Bolger, Harker, Howard, Hromec, Pitzen, Rogers, (Zmith,
Stanek.
Voting "Nay": None.
Absent: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Smith, seconded by Harker, to accept the recommendation
of the Zoning Board of Appeals concerning the McHenry State Bank petition
for reclassification of property (exit to Pearl St.) and pass and approve
ordinance, as read.

Motion by Stanek, seconded by Harker, to defer action on
bids for Outdoor Signal System.

Motion by Harker, seconded by Howard, to approve the City
Treasurer's report for the month of September, 1972.

Motion by Smith, seconded by Harker, to approve the Mayor's
appointment of Harold J. Nye as a member of the McHenry Library
Board to fill the unexpired term of Alan Meyer who resigned.

Rogers, Smith, Stanek.

"Dick" Weber as an assistant to the sewage treatment plant operator

and thirty (30) brackets for new street lights in the business areas.
