CITY HALL
At the call of Mayor Doherty and proper notification to all
aldermen, the City Council held a special meeting, Monday, March
28, 1966 at 8 P.M. in the City Hall for the purpose of hearing
engineers' report (by Baxter & Woodman) on water supply and
distribution facilities for the City of McHenry, and other business
that might rightfully come before the council at a special meeting.
Mayor Doherty presided at the meeting and upon roll call the
following aldermen were present: Bolger, Etten, Huck, Jackson,
Pitzen, Smith, Wegener. Absent: Conway.
Motion by Pitzen, seconded by Smith, to install equipment at
water plant to add polyphosphates to the water supply. Motion carried.
Motion by Etten, seconded by Huck, to approve the application of
the McHenry Rotary Club to sponsor tag day, April 2, for the Easter
Seal Therapy Center. Motion carried.
Motion by Jackson, seconded by Wegener, to approve the request
of the local Girl Scouts to sell cookies in McHenry, Saturday,
April 9th. Motion carried.
Mayor Doherty appointed Aldermen Etten,Jackson and Smith as a
committee to investigate proposal to dredge under the Green St. and
Elm St. bridges.
Motion by Huck, seconded by Smith, to adjourn. Motion carried.
